About Me

I hold a strong educational background in Chemistry, which laid the foundation for my career journey. Although I initially started in the retail and hospitality sectors, I have acquired a diverse skill set along the way. Working in high-pressure environments, meeting deadlines, maintaining organization, problem-solving, and efficient time management are among the key competencies I have developed.

In my most recent role as a Recruitment Consultant at Stott and May, I specialized in Software Engineering, with a focus on Java/Kotlin Full-Stack development. Additionally, I covered a wide range of positions, including mobile development (iOS & Android), Machine Learning engineering, and QA Automation. Through successful client acquisition and candidate placements, I achieved my targets and was subsequently promoted. Prior to my recruitment experience, I honed my relationship-building skills and adaptability during my tenure in the hospitality industry.

Before embarking on my professional career, I indulged in a period of extensive world travel, primarily in Australia following my university graduation. During this time, I traversed numerous countries across Europe, Africa, and Asia, fostering a global perspective and appreciation for diverse cultures. Engaging in thrilling activities such as climbing Kilimanjaro and skydiving further developed my determination to succeed when faced with daunting challenges.

After deciding to further my career within the tech industry I am pursuing a position as a software developer, after gaining interest in the technical aspects of the roles during my tenure at Stott and May. I enrolled on a government funded full-time skills bootcamp which helped me gain the neccesary skills of programming over 3 months. During my time enrolled on this course I also studied in my spare time using Codecademy to further my knowledge.
